About our content
How the recipes, images and guidance in LivuFit are created.
All recipes were created with AI assistance and reviewed by the creator of LivuFit.
How do we use AI?
We use AI to create and edit recipes, nutrition and training guidance, and images. Recipe images are AI-generated, not photographs of dishes prepared for LivuFit. Your finished dish may look different.
The current app selects plans and suggestions using fixed rules and calculations. There is no live AI chat coach answering your questions. Website screenshots show the app with sample entries.
Who reviews the content?
The creator reviewed all 348 recipes, including the 40 plant-based main dishes, using their own cooking experience. The creator is responsible for publication. Send questions or feedback to info@livufit.nl.
Reviewing a recipe is different from preparing it. Not all recipes have been kitchen-tested. Preparation times and nutrition values remain estimates.
The recipe review is not an assessment of the nutrition and training guidance by a dietitian, doctor or other healthcare professional.
Recipes and safe cooking
Recipes were created with AI assistance, inspired by familiar dishes and recipe collections. Those sources have not tested or approved the LivuFit versions. Where a specific inspiration source is recorded, it appears with the recipe.
Preparation times and servings are estimates. More servings may require extra preparation or cooking batches. Check that food is cooked through and follow packaging instructions. If you have doubts about a recipe, email info@livufit.nl.
Allergen information can vary by brand. Check ingredients, labels and possible traces yourself. Do not rely on the app to guarantee that a dish is suitable for an allergy.
Vegan, vegetarian and allergens
Vegan means no animal ingredients in the recipe. Vegetarian recipes contain no meat or fish but may contain egg, milk or honey. The vegetarian filter also includes vegan recipes. These are our descriptions, not certification marks.
Classification uses the recorded ingredients, including optional ingredients and named alternatives. Cheese and pesto without clear vegetarian rennet information receive no vegetarian label. Choose suitable vegan versions of products such as bread, wraps and pasta if you eat vegan.
The allergen filter uses the 14 allergen groups covered by European labelling rules. Recipes with a selected allergen, a known possible ingredient source or unknown ingredients are hidden. This says nothing about traces, manufacturing conditions or cross-contact in your kitchen.
Always check packaging and possible traces, even when a recipe passes the filter. Recipes with no recorded allergens are not described as allergen-free. Allergies outside the 14 groups are not covered by this filter.
Nutrition values and targets
Recipe values are calculated from ingredients using USDA FoodData Central, SR Legacy (2018). The food catalogue also uses sources including NEVO and Open Food Facts. These are different sources; the app identifies them where available.
Brands, draining, weighing raw or cooked food and rounding affect the result. Missing values remain unknown. Calculated values have not been measured in a prepared dish.
Where appropriate, the calorie target uses the Mifflin–St Jeor equation with activity factors and app rules. The starting carbohydrate, protein and fat split is an adjustable example. These figures do not diagnose a deficiency or provide individual dietary advice.
Training and personal circumstances
Plans combine your entries with fixed choices from the exercise library. Selection order, activity factors and time estimates are app rules. The sources explain general principles; they have not approved LivuFit or your individual plan.
Instructions and 3D demonstrations help explain an exercise but do not assess your technique. An automated suggestion is not a medical assessment. Stop if you feel pain or unwell. Seek personal guidance for symptoms, pregnancy, recovery or medical limitations.
Found a mistake?
Email info@livufit.nl with the recipe or exercise name and what seems wrong. Do not send medical records or your full logbook. We can then investigate and update the content.
Exercise illustrations
The exercise illustrations are generated with AI. The people depicted are fictional; these are not photographs of an actual training session. The illustrations help you recognise the exercise. Use the instructions and interactive 3D guide to explore its execution.
Equipment can differ from the illustration. Use the manual for your own equipment to check its exact setup. A visual check of an illustration is not a professional assessment of exercise technique.
Pregnancy, recovery and pausing
LivuFit supports general movement, planning and logging. Content is created with AI assistance using the listed sources. There is no live medical AI coach. The pregnancy and recovery information has not been independently reviewed by a healthcare professional. The organisations listed have not approved LivuFit.
Discuss exercise plans and any calorie targets during pregnancy or recovery with your midwife, doctor or dietitian. The app cannot determine whether you have medically recovered or whether an exercise is suitable for you. Follow individual advice from your healthcare professional over an app suggestion. A beginner label or exercise filter does not guarantee suitability.
During an uncomplicated pregnancy, activity including adapted strength training can be appropriate. Recovery after pregnancy differs between people. A number of weeks or months passing is not automatic clearance to exercise. Stop if you experience pain or feel unwell and contact a healthcare professional about symptoms. In an emergency call your local emergency number (112 in the Netherlands); the app is not an emergency service.
In Settings → Pregnancy & recovery, you can voluntarily share your situation, optional dates, and breastfeeding or expressing milk. A due date never automatically changes your profile. If you choose, the app asks during a visit from four weeks after that date whether you want to update your preferences. This timing is a product choice, not a medical guideline. You do not have to explain what happened.
Pause training for one, two or three months, until a chosen date, or until you resume yourself. Ongoing workouts are kept as drafts. Training reminders stop and other selected features stay available. An end date never automatically resumes training. A neutral Android invitation is optional; your device may delay or block delivery. In the web app, the invitation appears on a later visit.
After updating your situation, review your training preferences. With pregnancy, recovery, breastfeeding or an unknown situation saved, this setup does not calculate a new automatic calorie target. Existing targets are not automatically reassessed or replaced; discuss them individually. You can still log food and manually enter an agreed target. Active dieting while breastfeeding is discouraged.
